FAQ

FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS

Should I use a base coat?

It is advisable to use a base coat when using the nail wraps. It is not mandatory, but using a base coat offers a layer of protection between your nails and the nail wrap.  We find that there is no difference as to which base coat you use.

Which topcoat should I use?

Our Nail Wraps work with most topcoats BUT we advise against using any topcoats with quick dry properties. We experimented with some popular topcoats and found that our nail wraps work well with the following:

♦ Essie Good To Go
♦ Sally Hansen Miracle Gel Step 2
♦ INM Out The Door Top Coat

However, it DOES NOT react well to:
♦ All Quick Dry formulas, and we mean all of them.
♦ Anything Seche Vite

Are you sure this will stay put?

Yes, we are confident that the nail wraps will stay put on your nails. You might notice that it does not appear very sticky when you first put it on, and you might even be able to adjust it, but the adherence of the nail wrap develops over time.

For this reason, please avoid having a shower for 3 to 4 hours after you apply your Nail Wraps.

Can I swim with my Nail Wraps?

Our advice is to avoid swimming for 2-3 days after you apply them.

How long does it last?

It can last between 10-14 days, if you promise you will not use your fingers as tools.

What do I do with the remaining nail wraps that I have?

We like to keep ours aside and use them to mix up and experiment with other designs and colours. Follow us on Instagram @glossy.up for more inspiration on this.

OR If you have short nails, you can maximize the use by cutting the nail wrap into half and use the nail wraps twice!

What is 5-Free Nail Wraps?

For those who are not familiar with this, 5-Free means the formula does NOT contain any of the following ingredients: Toluene, Dibutyl Phthalate (DBP), Formaldehyde, Formaldehyde Resin and Camphor.
